FOCAPO has been the premier conference in the area of chemical process operations and process systems engineering since 1987. The conference offers valuable information on all aspects of enterprise-wide optimization and its integration with planning, scheduling, and control. In addition to being a very active area for academics, process operations have given rise to many challenging problems in industrial practice. These problems have necessitated the study and development of enabling technologies in the area of optimization, which has remained a strong focus of past FOCAPO conferences.
